From Russia
Yury and his wife Irina came from Moscow, Russia to holiday in the U.S. for a couple of weeks. In true nVidia fashion, Yury planned his trips around some work stuff, so their first stop was here in Dallas for QuakeCon.

Rules
This is the rule board at the front of the BYOC (bring your own computer) room at QuakeCon. Mostly, it's the list of "No"s - stuff not to do or have in there. And then there's the gentle reminder to "Yes", please bathe and use deodorant. PLEASE.
So far, we've seen a pirate, a kilt, an overflowing corset, and an Ewok dude (who is actually a character from a popular video game, but I can't remember which one). And we drank blue Bawls (they also have red and white Bawls), which is a new high energy caffeine drink that has a booth. I wish I could take pictures, but they keep it so dark in the BYOC and vendor areas. The above picture required 2 iPhones - Jason (Michael) used his as a light source while I used mine to take the picture.

Margaret Thatcher Suite
(edited to add text)
So, we're attending QuakeCon this weekend. It kicked off yesterday (Thursday), and last night we got to sit through the 3 hour keynote address by John Carmack. Afterwards, we had some food in a hotel restaurant and went up to check out Marty's room, which is supposedly where the id parties happen. Turns out, it was the Margaret Thatcher Suite. There was a portrait of Mags hanging outside, and the suite was filled with photos and memoribilia.
I'm sure there will be more interesting photos to come. Cass had very little to drink last night. :)
