Back in the USSR

Cass has landed safely in Kiev. He says that there's a lot of snow on the ground, and that the ATM machine he used dispensed Benjamin Franklin $100 bills.

We had a debate over whether Ukraine has always been independent (he said), or if it was part of the USSR and became independent after it dissolved (she said). She was right. :)

As I was getting ready this morning, this came on the news:


It scared the crap out of me, and I freaked a little. At first they said it was located at Canary Wharf, but they later confirmed that a warehouse at the construction site of the Olympic area caught on fire. Whew!
